Awards and Honours
- Transformation of Research Planning & Business Development Division for Image Building of the Institute, considerable increase in sponsored projects and technology commercialization
- In Tribology & Combustion Division, Combustion Laboratory was modernized by renovating the building and creating better infrastructure and instrumental facilities. In Advanced Tribology Research Centre, new facilities are being continuously added
- 33 years of research experience in the automotive fuels and engines particularly related to fuel quality, vehicle emissions and their control, use of alternative fuels, engine technology and exhaust after-treatment devices
- Establishment of vehicle/engine emission measurement laboratory as per Euro-III/IV emission norms at CSIR-IIP, Dehradun
- Represented CSIR-IIP in the national committees related to fuel quality and vehicle emissions
- Research work reported in the comprehensive report entitled, “Vehicle Emissions and Control Perspectives in India – A State-of-the-art Report” helped the Govt. of India to formulate national vehicle emission standards
- Organized various training programmes for engineers from automotive and oil industries on fuel quality and vehicle emission control
- Assisted the ‘Expert Committee on Auto Fuel Policy for India’ in framing the policy and writing the report of the committee for Govt. of India
- Secretary of Research Council of CSIR-IIP
- Gold Medal in M.E. from University of Roorkee
- Best Scientist Award by CSIR-IIP in the year 1995
- Best Indian Paper on Environmental Pollution Award to SAE Paper presented in the Symposium on International Automotive Technology, Pune, India, 2007
