Achievements

Design of robust and cost effective solvent recovery section without a fired furnace for wax production technology commercialised at Numaligarg Refinery (NRL), Assam.
Development of modified heat exchanger network for reducing the energy requirement by 50% of Propane Deasphalting (PDA) Unit, CPCL, Chennai ( Successfully implemented in the Plant, 2019).
Developed a cost effective, energy efficient and refrigeration free process for recovery of pure components from one- step dimethyl ether rector (US 9,758,460).
Developed a new process Scheme for increasing gas oil yield and energy efficiency in crude oil distillation (US 9546324B2).
Received many awards by the members of modelling and simulation area for immense contribution in technology development and commercialization. Major awards include TDB National Award 2019, TDB National Award 2017, IEI Young Engineers Award 2016-2017, MoP&NG and CHT best innovation in R&D (14-15), CSIR Technology award, 2016 and CSIR Innovation award, 2014.
