CSIR-IIP has a number of state-of-the-art Sophisticated Instrumentation Research Facilities. Each facility is equipped with wide range of world class scientific instruments. The facilities are being run by trained and expert scientists and technical staff of the institute. The basic objective of these facilities is to cater to the requirements of in-house R&D activities of the institute. The instruments available in all the facilities are maintained and managed by dedicated and trained scientists and engineers. Most of the facilities operate in a centralized fashion in Analytical Sciences Division. Institute also have separate facilities for complete biopsy/autopsy of catalyst(s) along with their screening.
Instrumentation facilities and services are extended to sister CSIR laboratories, academic institutions, outside R&D organizations and Industry throughout the country with reasonable charges. The CSIR laboratories, Universities & Research organizations are charged at reduced rates to encourage research activities in these institutions.
