Our mission at Transient Engines Laboratory (TEL) is to develop engine technologies that aid in the utilization of advanced fuels including bio and renewable fuels. In addition, TEL strives to provide technical support for the engine developers offering the testing and certification services; and assist the MoRTH in formulating standards for emission norms.
At the TEL, the research focus is on experimental investigation of automotive engines, the interaction between fuels and engines, the effect of various conventional and non-conventional fuels on engine combustion, and emission formation.
TEL is equipped with qualified workforce and state of the art facilities for testing engines up to 400 kW and can conduct the tests following the BS-IV testing procedures.
